When I say I was thrilled to commemorate a memory for a new father and his daughter, it would’ve be an understatement. While traveling through Ireland, my neighbour, Julie, proposed the surprise gift. Between hikes, tea and a wedding, I was able to get this to Mr. Photocanvas, a local printer. The canvas print was my idea and the perfect way to immortalize moments. Having worked with them previously, I knew of the speed and quality in the final product.
An avid outdoors-man and nature lover, what better way to portray their love with logs, the building block of lasting edifices. And, since their daughter’s name means “brilliant/lustrous,” adding a glowing warm lamb to symbolize the vastness of the pastoral background implies a growing potential for more love to come.
It was my honour to illustrate this lovely moment.
